Welcome to the Kalamazoo Federation of Musicians.
Our local union is chartered as an affiliate of the American Federation of
Musicians, the largest world organization dedicated to representing and
protecting the interests of professional musicians. Our local has members who perform all styles of
music including classical, rock, jazz, dance and big band. Several collective bargaining agreements are in
force with the local for the protection of our musicians and prevent their
exploitation. Also, minimum wage scales are set to utilize with contractual
agreements to ensure fair compensation for music performances. This website strives to assist the members through
listing those who provide live music of various types, members who are available
for music instruction and convenient links to other music organizations
including the American Federation of Musicians. Thank you for your interest in the Kalamazoo
